2006 Birmingham International Motorcycle Show To Reach New Entertainment Heights
The 2006 International Motorcycle and Scooter Show will be the most entertaining ever staged. Taking place between 27th October and 5th November, the Birmingham NEC will play host to an action packed show, featuring an all-new motorcycle stunt show, the Thunderdome Games Arena, an adrenalin fuelled selection of interactive features and an exciting array of exhibitors and manufacturers.
One of the highlights of 2006 NEC Bike Show will be the awesome Thunderdome Games Arena, a brand new live action stage show featuring awe-inspiring stunts performed by the world’s top stunt riders against a theatrical Mad Max style backdrop.
Building on the huge success of last year’s interactive features, the 2006 show will host a diverse range of biking experiences, i
ncluding the all-new Harley Davidson V-Rod Experience which gives visitors the opportunity to feel for themselves the power of the acclaimed Harley Davidson fuel-injected 60° V-Twin Revolution® engine. Another one for the adrenalin junkies, Yamaha’s Supermoto School will offer riders the chance to polish their race track skills on the very latest supermotos. Those in favour of a more rustic experience can have a go on the off-road feature, taking riders through dramatic woodland around the NEC.
Entertaining the crowds away from the track, the Bike Show’s Black Horse Stage will once again be hosting British Superbike’s season finale, the BSB Awards, featuring most of the top British Superbike stars live! Other special show guests will include former BSB champion Jamie Whitham, who will be passing on his knowledge to spectators on his famous ‘How To?’ stage, and amongst others, World Superbike hero, Carl Fogarty signing autographs. In addition to hosting a number of UK launches, the major manufacturers will be lining up to show-off the latest state-of-the-art bikes alongside a fantastic range of retailers and exhibitors displaying the best in biking products and merchandise.
Managing Director of MCI Exhibitions, Finlay McAllan, commented: ‘After the astounding popularity of last year’s interactive features, we wanted to increase the entertainment value for visitors in 2006. This year we are offering even more for all ages and tastes, including a fantastic selection of exhibitors and major manufacturers, an enlarged Touring & Leisure area, an increased choice of interactive features as well as the introduction of the spectacular Thunderdome Games Arena.’
